From July 18-22 the regional Climate Week for Latin America and the Caribbean will take place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. LACCW 2022 is hosted by the Government of the Dominican Republic. The event is organized by UN Climate Change in collaboration with global partners UN Development Programme, UN Environment Programme and the World Bank Group.
The Week aims to engage and empower stakeholders to drive climate action across countries, communities and economies. Working together opens opportunity to advance climate action, address social inequalities and invest in development that is good for humanity and nature. LACCW 2022 is a collaboration platform to explore:
- Resilience against climate risks
- The transition to a low-emission economy
- Partnerships to solve pressing challenges
Scale for Resilience will host an own side event during the week on Wednesday, July 20 (Room: Garden Terrace). We will introduce our initiative and showcase vivid examples of our work on the ground.
We cordially invite you to join us in Santo Domingo!
